Guidi Scores Two Goals
SHELTON, Conn. — Sacred Heart women's ice hockey matched up with Post University as the road team at The Rinks Tuesday afternoon, winning 3-1.
The Eagles notched a late first period goal and held a lead until Nicole Guidi got the equalizer 16 minutes into the second period. Guidi scored her second goal of the game 16:43 into the third and Katie Keenan quickly followed it up to make it 3-1.
Molly Elmore made her eighth start between the posts for the Pioneers, stopping nine of ten shots.
Sacred Heart goes to 6-9-1 overall on the year and 6-5-1 in NEWHA conference play. The Pioneers will compete in the Nutmeg Classic on Friday in Hamden, Conn. where they'll play UCONN Friday at 6 p.m.
