Sends eight riders to IHSA Zone Championships
GALES FERRY, Conn.- The Sacred Heart University equestrian team completed its show at Connecticut College at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association Zone Regional Championships on Saturday. Eight riders qualified for the Zone Championships which will take place on Saturday, April 9 at Mount Holyoke College.
Five Pioneers placed first in their respective events which highlighted Alyssa Kinney claiming the top spot in Open Fences, while Mia Poppinga claimed first in Intermediate Flat. In Limit Fences, Raegan Olson sealed first while Alexa Setteducati took first in Limit Flat. Ashely Bocek rounded out the first place winners as she took the top ribbon in Novice Flat.

The team returns to action on Saturday, April 9 when they compete at the IHSA Zone Championships at Mount Holyoke College.
