NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Sacred Heart University women's volleyball team rolled to victory in its first match of the Yale Invitational. The Pioneers defeated Fordham 3-0 (25-16, 25-22, 25-23) on Friday.

Of Note:
For the second match in the row, the Pioneers' offense was rolling as they outhit the Rams .270-to-.086. SHU started the contest by hitting .375 in the first set while limiting Fordham to a -.103 rate.
 
Reghan Palanchi's kill made it 24-20 in the second set then the grad student ended the frame with another kill. Another Palanchi kill in the third set put SHU up 23-20, before the Rams pulled even at 23-23. Fordham handed the Pioneers the match with back-to-back errors.
 
Notching her second-straight match with double-digit kills was outside hitter 
Camryn Luginbuhl with 11 winners. Six different players had six or more kills. Middle blocker 
Kate Anderson produced a season-high five blocks to go along with seven kills.
