Ciszek Collects Second-Straight NEC Player of the Week Award

Setter was named to the UCI Invitational All-Tournament Team.

SOMERSET, N.J. – Another strong performance at a weekend tournament resulted in another honor for Sacred Heart University setter Sarah Ciszek. She was named Northeast Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week by the league office on Wednesday.

It's the 16^th weekly honor for the San Juan Capistrano, Calif. native. Tatijana Fucka from Fairleigh Dickinson and LIU's Anastasia Scott shared Defensive Player of the Week. Fucka's FDU teammate Kylie Nott was named Rookie of the Week.

Back home in Southern California for the UC Irvine Invitational, Ciszek posted a pair of double-doubles and averaged 9.7 assists, 3.1 digs & 2.3 kills per set. Second in the country with two triple-doubles, she just missed out on a third against Dartmouth with weekend-bests of 38 assists, 17 digs and eight kills.

Sacred Heart travels across town Thursday to face High Point at Fairfield University. The Pioneers are home this weekend for the SHU Invitational, September 10-11.
