FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Sacred Heart University women's ice hockey will look to cash in more good luck at Martire Family Arena this Friday and Saturday at 2 p.m. as they'll see Post University in NEWHA Conference play. It will be the first time since October of 2021 they will not play in Shelton, their respective home for the past two years. Fans can watch at home on NEC Front Row.

The Pioneers opened MFA on Sunday, beating Harvard 2-1 in overtime on Paige McNeil's gamewinning goal on a breakaway assist from Nicole Guidi. McNeil also chipped in an assist to Delani MacKay, making it the first ever goal scored in MFA by a women's ice hockey team.

The Pioneers are 3-1 to start 2023. Six skaters for the red and white have tallied double digit points, with MacKay and McNeil leading the way tied at 19. Kelly Solak leads the blueliners with 14 points. As for NEWHA standings, MacKay's 11 goals tying her at fourth atop the leaderboard. Greene's 2.51 goals against average has her in the top five with teammate Molly Elmore just ahead of her at number three with 2.33.
