Jillian Petruno has been named to the 2025–26 Hockey Commissioners Association (HCA) Watch List for the National Women's Goalie of the Year Award, the association announced Wednesday.
Goaltenders qualify for the initial "Watch List" by meeting specific benchmarks. Eligible goalies must post either a goals-against average of 2.20 or lower or a save percentage of .923 or higher.
Through 15 games this season, Petruno has recorded 464 saves, good for a .939 save percentage, the ninth highest in the nation. Her goals-against average is equally impressive, as she is allowing just 2.26 goals per game and has consistently shown the ability to keep her team in any game.
Sacred Heart is set to host Stonehill this weekend at the Martire Family Arena in a New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) matchup. Petruno will look to continue the high level of play she has displayed all season.
