STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.—Cameron Croce had a first-place finish to lead the Sacred Heart men's track and field team at the NYC Gotham Cup on Friday.

Croce was first overall in the weight throw at 17.76m and had a fourth-place finish in the shot put at 15.30m.

Joseph Morrone finished in third place in the 500 at 1:05.83. Dominic Miele was 12th overall in the event with a time of 1:07.41.

The 4x400 relay of Dominic Miele, Rafael Mahario, Benjamin Healy, and Douglas Suter finished seventh overall at 3:24.63.

Rafael Mahario had a top-20 performance in the 400 as he finished 13th overall at 51.10.

Shane Negast was the top SHU finisher in the 800 with a time of 2:02.50. In the 1000, Patrick Curreri was the top Pioneer with a 2:42.24 finish.

Sacred Heart is back in action on Friday, January 27th, at the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Men's Classic.
