Kaiser earns All-Conference Honors

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Angela Kaiser's eighth-place finish highlighted an emphatic day for the Sacred Heart University women's cross country team as it finished in fourth place at this season's NEC XC Championships on Saturday.

The Pios were led by Kaiser, whose time of 19:05.8 earned her a spot on the 2023 NEC All-Conference Team. The Red & White had a quartet of harriers place in the top-25 as Kaiser led the way for Jessica Pigott, Grace DelGiorno, and Kelly Parker who finished in 19^th, 21^st and 25^th overall, respectively. Picking up the final points for the Pioneers was Grace Sousa, whose time of 20:19.9 secured fourth place for the Pios with a score of 104.

Samantha Apostolico and Kathleen Cronin also had good showings for the Pios, finishing the familiar five kilometer course with sub-21 minute times along with fellow Pioneers Rebecca Dowling and Keegan Pepin as SHU earned its highest team finish since the 2021 season.
