The first year setter tallied two stellar performances in a 1-1 week for SHU

SOMERSET, N.J. – Sacred Heart University women's volleyball first year setter Gaby Zovko collected her ninth Northeast Conference (NEC)/Molten Rookie of the Week honor Tuesday afternoon, the league office announced.
The Pioneers split a pair of NEC matches this past week, falling on the road to Saint Francis Friday before bouncing back with a convincing 3-0 win over Le Moyne Saturday to seal a season sweep of the Dolphins.
Zovko led the way for the Pioneers over their road trip, averaging 7.17 assists, 2.00 digs, 1.33 kills, 0.67 blocks and 0.50 aces per set. She started the weekend with 18 assists, three aces and three digs versus the Red Flash. The Bedford, Mass., then tallied 25 assists, nine digs, six kills and three blocks in a convincing SHU sweep of Le Moyne on Saturday.
Sacred Heart returns to the Pitt Center on Friday, Nov. 10, at 5 p.m. to play Stonehill in its penultimate regular-season match.
