Dudley finished in double-figures at Vermont on Wednesday
SOMERSET, N.J. – For the second time this season, Sacred Heart University women's basketball first year standout Nalyce Dudley was named the Northeast Conference (NEC) Rookie of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
Dudley was also named the league's Rookie of the Week on Dec. 11, as she and Ny'Ceara Pryor swept the NEC weekly awards for SHU. Today's honor is the sixth for the Pioneers this season, as Pryor is a four-time Player of the Week winner.
Dudley posted a stellar outing in Sacred Heart's lone game last week, helping the team in a hard-fought road setback at Vermont on Wednesday. The forward from Norwich, Conn., tallied her sixth double-digit scoring output with 11 against the Catamounts. She also added four rebounds, three of which came on the offensive glass.
The Pioneers end the calendar year with a 1 p.m. home tilt against Mercy on New Year's Eve at the Pitt Center.
