Gonzalez gave the Pios extra breathing room in the next at-bat by driving home Petrovich and Carroll with a single down the right field line to extend SHU's advantage to 6-3.
With the lead for the first time in the game, Emily Heath put the finishing touches on her first collegiate victory by allowing one base runner in the bottom of the seventh to secure a 6-3 comeback win for the Pioneers.
