LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Sacred Heart University softball team placed 15 players on the Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete list for the 2022-23 academic year, the organization announced.
To be eligible for this award, student-athletes had to maintain a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for the 2022-23 academic year. This year, 8,297 collegiate student-athletes captured Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors.
The Pioneers' recipients of this accolade were Emily Carroll, Sydni Carroll, Myah Eldred, Kiley Gurysh, Emily Heath, Sydney Hess, Meghan Knepper, Samantha Kostek, Cayla Nista, Amy Petrovich, Jenna Pfister, Madeline Scarola, Morgan Teodosio, Liv Vadas and Carlie Williams. This was not the first academic award of the year for E. Carroll, Petrovich and Vadas, as all three were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District.
