Box Score Bronx, N.Y. – The Sacred Heart University men's soccer team fell 3-0 on the road at Fordham in a non-conference season opener on Thursday evening.
David Garcia Gallego led the Pioneers with four shots and three shots on goal.

Andrew Hammersley secured four saves between the pipes despite the setback.
Fordham's Timo Hummrich scored at the 27:04 mark on a penalty kick after Hammersley's touch on the ball was not enough for the save.
The Pioneers would keep Fordham off the scoresheet until the 67th minute, where Kai Griese scored off a give-and-go down the right side to extend the lead to 2-0. Florian Deletioglu sealed the game in the 83rd minute with a header off of a corner kick from Griese.
Fordham finished the match with an 18-10 advantage on shots and a 7-4 edge on shots on goal.
