FAIRFIELD, Conn. — David Garcia Gallego, Luca Marinelli, Ivan Morcillo, Ivan Marques, and Danny Istambouli of the Sacred Heart University men's soccer team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team on Tuesday, November 25.

Garcia Gallego, a senior midfielder, holds a 3.892 GPA while pursuing his Master of Business Administration in Business Analytics. The León, Spain, native started 18 games, recording six goals and seven assists.

Marinelli, a graduate goalkeeper, has a 3.675 GPA while completing a Graduate Certificate in Core Business Skills. The Milford, Conn. native started 16 matches, totaled 47 saves, and posted a 0.95 goals-against average with a .758 save percentage.

Morcillo, a sophomore forward, carries a 3.697 GPA while working toward his Bachelor of Science in Finance. The Arroyomolinos, Spain, native started 17 games and registered seven goals and one assist.

Marques, a sophomore midfielder, holds a 3.600 GPA while pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Finance. The Valencia, Spain, native started 15 games, logging over 1,200 minutes and recording one shot on goal.

Istambouli, a junior midfielder, maintains a 3.866 GPA while working toward his Bachelor of Science in Finance. The Danbury, Conn. native started 15 games, tallying six goals and four assists.
