Luginbuhl Named MAAC Player of the Week after SHU Swept League Weekend

The Pioneers started MAAC play with a 2-0 record
EDISON, N.J. – After a historic showing in Sacred Heart University women's volleyball's first two Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) matches, Camryn Luginbuhl was named the Jersey Mike's MAAC Player of the Week.
SHU opened the conference slate with a pair of wins, defeating Manhattan in five sets and Iona in three. The Pios tallied a season-high 16 blocks against the Jaspers before hitting a season-best .314 against the Gaels.
Luginbuhl tallied an outstanding 48 kills (6.00/set), 29 digs (3.63/set) and 50.5 points (6.31/set). She started the weekend with 24 kills and 15 digs in a five-set win over Manhattan. Luginbuhl then put on one of the best showings in her career against Iona, setting a new three-set program record with 24 kills. She hit an outstanding .550 on 40 attempts, adding 14 digs for a double-double in three sets.
The Pioneers hit the road tomorrow at 7 p.m. for a match against crosstown rival Fairfield.
