Box Score PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Sacred Heart University women's tennis team defeated Providence Friday afternoon 6-1
 
In doubles play, the Pioneers swept all three matches. Katsiaryna Starastsenka and Kim Fenton battled in the No. 1 spot to come out on top of the Friars 7-5. In the No. 2 spot, Flavia Rambaldi and Vitalina Golod secured the win in a 6-2 decision. Olivia Kharkover and Aina Garriga picked up the final win in the No. 3 spot 6-1.
 
The Pioneers used their momentum to propel them through singles play. Starastsenka, Rambaldi, Garriga, and Kharkover all secured their second win of the day in singles play. At No. 6 singles, Ana Sofia Angeles Sánchez defeated Beltran 6-0 and 6-3.
