DelGiorno grabs top team finisher for first time in 2024

MONTGOMERY, N.Y. — A pair of top-30 finishes highlighted a successful Saturday for the Sacred Heart University women's cross country squad as it completed competition at the Manhattan University Jasper Fall XC Invitational. The Pios finished in eighth place with an average time of 22:49 seconds through the six kilometer course.

Grace DelGiorno and Grace Sousa finished in 22^nd and 26^th overall, respectively, going through the course neck-and-neck with each other and finished separated by only three seconds. Grace Miller finished third overall for the Pios for a consecutive race, grabbing 37^th overall with a time of 22:49.1.

Kelly Parker scored for the second-consecutive meet for the Pios, grabbing a fourth place team finish while placing top-50 overall while Anna King was the last scorer for SHU with a 55^th place finish overall. Jessica Pigott and Adriana Franzese grabbed sixth and seventh overall for the Red & White as the Pios took eighth place in their second meet of the season.
