DOVER, Del. – Maya Robilio owns the individual lead after the first 36 holes of the Battle at the Creek, as the Sacred Heart University women's golf team sits in second at the 54-hole tournament hosted at the Kings Creek Country Club in Dover, Del.
The Pioneers own a combined team score of 639 (+71) after carding a 315 in round one and a 324 in round two. Bucknell owns the lead after the first two rounds with a score of 626 (+58).
Robilio paces the 50-person field with a 36-hole score of 151 (+9). The senior carded the best round one with a three-over 74, following it up with a six-over 77. She opened the event with two birdies in her first front nine, heading to the back one-over par.
Nahia Paulerena and
Jensie Nicholas finished next for the Pios in T9th and T12th, respectively. Paulerena broke out in her second collegiate event. After competing in just two rounds in her debut, Paulerena carded a +18 160 (79-81) to sit in the top 10. Nicholas carded rounds of 78 and 83 for a 161 (+19) score.
Maite Cantu and
Jessie Burch placed next for the Pios in T24th and T33rd. Cantu carded a 166 (+24) and Burch a 169 (+27).
Emma Preissingn (T44th) and
Ashley Moynahan (47th) rounded out SHU's competitors.
Sacred Heart hits the links again tomorrow morning to bring an end to the Battle at the Creek.
