MILFORD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University women's golf team opened the 2024-25 season at the SHU Fall Classic, hosted at the Great River Golf Club on Monday. 
The Pioneers sit in fifth place after the first two rounds of the SHU Fall Classic with a combined score of 639 (+63). The Pios began the event with a 317 (+29) in round one before shooting a 322 (+34) in the second round. Sacred Heart trails fourth-place Fairfield (+57) by six strokes, while Boston University (+8) leads the tournament. 
Maya Robilio paces the Pioneers in fourth, finishing the day with a combined score of 149 (+5). The San Clemente, Calif., native started her senior season with a 78 in round one before posting one of the best second rounds with a one-under 71. Her second round was the second best of the day. 
Jensie Nicholas placed next for SHU in 21st with a score of 160 (+16). The senior opened the event with a 79 (+7) before shooting an 81 (+9) in her second 18. 
Maite Cantu and 
Lauren Ogrodowicz were separated by two strokes, placing T25th and 29th, respectively. Cantu (80-84-164) finished at +20, while Ogrodowicz (80-86-166) was +22. 
Rounding out the Pioneers' competitors today were 
Ashley Moynahan, 
Emma Preissing and 
Catherine Fennelly. Moynahan placed 34th, Preissing 42nd and Fennelly 44th. 
The third and final round of the SHU Fall Classic will begin tomorrow at 9:30 a.m.
