GLEN COVE, N.Y. – The Sacred Heart University men's golf team wrapped up play at the Nassau Invitational on Tuesday afternoon, placing 11th at the 54-hole event hosted by LIU at the Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove, N.Y.

Mike Rothberg led the way for the Pioneers in T9th with a final score of 219 (+9). The senior carded rounds of 73, 74 and 72, with the two-over 72 tying for the 11th best round today. 

Ronan Mooney finished next on the team in a tie for 30th. The first year opened with a stellar 72 (+2) before carding rounds of 78 and 75 to close out the event. 

Yu Chan Ji Lim and Sho Suzuki finished two strokes apart at 228 (+18) and 230 (+20), respectively. Lim tied for 39th place, while Suzuki tied for 45th. 

SHU's final competitors at the event were Charlie Gilligan and Jack Delaney in 65th and 66th. 

The Pioneers conclude the fall portion of their schedule at the Wykagyl Collegiate on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 27-28. Iona is hosting the event at the Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle, N.Y.
