NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Mike Rothberg tied for second place to lead the Sacred Heart University men's golf team Wykagyl Collegiate, as the Pios finished in seventh place at the Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle, N.Y.
The Pioneers finished with a team score of 905 (+41) to sit in the middle of a congested event. SHU tallied rounds of 302, 295 and 308, finishing 10 strokes away from fifth-place Mount St. Mary's. Rhode Island (-4) claimed an exciting win, besting LIU (-3) by one stroke.
Rothberg placed in a tie for second after an outstanding tournament. The senior carded rounds of 71, a career-best 65 and 76 for a final score of 212 (-4). Second place is his best finish of the fall season.
Ronan Mooney placed next for SHU in a tie for 20th. He finished with a score of 224 (+8) after rounds of 72, 73 and 79.

Sho Suzuki and
Alex Turlik rounded out SHU's golfers in T40th, T50th and T59th, respectively.
