HAMPDEN, Mass. – The Sacred Heart University men's golf team is in 15th place after two rounds of the UConn Invitational, which is being hosted by the Huskies at GreatHorse Golf Club in Hampden, Mass.
The Pios own a team score of 621 (+45) after 36 holes at GreatHorse. SHU opened the event with a 306 (+18) yesterday before carding a 315 (+27) this afternoon. UConn stragnthened its lead of the event, as it sits at five-under par heading into tomorrow. Boston College is in second place at +5.
Mike Rothberg continued to be the highest Pio on the leaderboard in a tie for 22nd. The senior from Fairfield posted a three-over 75 today to along with a 72 (E) yesterday to sit with a combined score of 147 (+3).
Alex Turlik and
Luciano Moratinos are SHU's next golfers on the leaderboard in ties for 47th and 65th place, respectively. Turlik sits with a combined score of 152 (+8) through 36 holes, while Moratinos owns a mark of 158 (+14).
Quin Adams and
Leo Dixon round out SHU's golfers at the event, as both are tied for 81st with scores of 166 (+22).
The final round of the UConn Invitational will take place tomorrow at GreatHorse.
