Fairfield, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University women's ice hockey team cruised past Saint Michael's in dominating fashion, 6-1 behind
Addie Bowlby's hat trick, on Friday night in New England Women's Alliance (NEWHA) action at the Martire Family Arena.

How it Happened:
- The Purple Knights struck first midway through the opening frame with a shorthanded tally, but it was all Sacred Heart from there. The Pioneers quickly responded on the power play just 23 seconds later, when Addie Bowlby buried her second goal of the season off a pass from Julia Zielinska. That goal sparked a gave the Pioneer all of the momentum, and before the first period ended, Brianna Morden found the back of the net off assists from Lake Bethard and Ella Holm, giving SHU a 2–1 lead.
- Sacred Heart continued to dominate in the second period, outshooting Saint Michael's 23–6. Bowlby struck again at 12:25, finishing a setup from Bria Holm and Ella Holm to extend the lead to 3–1.
- The third period was all Pioneers. Bowlby completed her hat trick at 11:48, once again assisted by the Holm sisters. Alyssa Antonakis added to the scoring frenzy with a goal in the final two minutes off a pass from Ally Cohen, and Campbell Heger capped off the night with a late power-play goal assisted by Olivia LaRoche.
