Fairfield, Conn. – Continuing a tradition of excellence in the community, the Sacred Heart Athletics Student-Athlete Advisory Committee held its third annual Team Impact Day recently on the Park Avenue campus.

Joining the Pioneers and their Team Impact Fellows – Tyler Jameson (football), Alex Torres (football), Giana Cochems (cheer) and Honora Saccu (cheer) - for some fun in the quad was men's soccer Team Impact teammate Owen.

Team Impact is a national not-for-profit organization that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college sports teams, creating a long-time, life-changing experience for everyone involved. Men's Soccer's teammate, Owen, is one of three Team Impact partnerships throughout the Pioneers 33 varsity sports.

The goal of SAAC's Team Impact Field Day was to raise awareness and educate Pioneer student-athletes and the entire Sacred Heart community of what Team Impact is and the influence it has on those individuals involved. This year's Field Day consisted of a barbeque, yard games and a t-shirt sale that raised over $1,000 that will be directly donated to Team Impact.
