FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A pair of third-period goals felled the Sacred Heart University men's ice hockey team in a back-and-forth affair against Air Force, as the Falcons took a 3-2 win in the series finale on Saturday evening at the Martire Family Arena.

How It Happened:
Bryant opened the scoring on Saturday, netting an unassisted goal 11:58 into the first period. A Falcon started the play by trying to dump the puck, but he sent the pass off one of his teammates' skates before it careened to Bryant, who ripped a wrister into the bottom-right corner of the net to make it 1-0.
Unfortunately for the Pioneers, a goal by Air Force with 2:58 left in the second evened the score at 1-1 heading to the third period.
The third started with a bang, as the Pios took a 2-1 advantage 1:44 into the frame. Wolthers netted his first goal as a Pio, curling from the right faceoff circle to fire a shot from the high slot, finding space glove side. The goal was the fifth of Wolthers' collegiate career.
Again, the Falcons were ready with an answer, evening the score at 2-2 2:56 later. The goal was ended up being upheld after a lengthy review.
Following a battle for the next 13:33, the Falcons scored the deciding goal at 17:13. Nolan Cunningham got the puck in the slot from Owen Dubois before sniping the top-left corner for the score.
