SHU Cheerleading to Host Nationals Sendoff Event on January 11

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University Cheerleading Team will host a sendoff event on Sunday, January 11 at 5 p.m. in the William H. Pitt Athletic & Convocation Center as they prepare for the 2026 UCA College Nationals, held January 16–18 in Orlando, Fla.
The sendoff will give family, friends, student-athletes, coaches, staff, and fans an opportunity to preview the team's nationals routines. Admission is free for all attendees.
A reception will follow from 6–7:30 p.m. in the SHU Box adjacent to the gymnasium, featuring light bites and a cash bar.
The Pioneers enter the 2026 championship after earning their fifth UCA National Championship in the last six years. Last season, SHU placed first in the All-Girl Division I Game Day division, earning a near-perfect score of 98 out of 100 points.
