Kingston, R.I. – Sierra Thompson's second-place finish showcased a strong showing for the Sacred Heart University women's track and field team as it began the 2025-26 indoor season at the 30
th annual University of Rhode Island Pentathlon on Thursday.
Thompson led the way for Sacred Heart at the one-day meet, earning the team's highest placement with a combined score of 3,674. She took first place in the long jump with a mark of 5.82 meters, finished second in the high jump at 1.62 meters, and added a third-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles.
Sophomore
Georgia Robarts secured a seventh-place finish with a combined score of 3,162. Her strongest event of the day was the long jump, where she placed fifth with a mark of 5.43 meters. Robarts also posted top-ten finishes in both the 800 meters and the high jump, rounding out a well-balanced performance.
