Five home games highlight fall campaign, starting with Stonehill on August 30
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University football team, under the leadership of head coach Mark Nofri, is excited to announce the schedule for the 2025 season, which includes five thrilling home games at Campus Field.
As the reigning Yankee Conference Cup Champions, the Pioneers will kick off the season with a highly anticipated home opener against Stonehill on August 30th, under the lights at Campus Field.
Following the home opener, Sacred Heart embarks on a challenging three-game road trip, starting with Lehigh on September 6th, followed by LIU on September 13th, and Norfolk State on September 20th.
The team will then return home to face Delaware State on September 27th in a highly anticipated matchup at Campus Field.
October will bring another road test as the Pioneers travel to New Britain, Conn., to face the 2024 Northeast Conference Champion, CCSU, on October 4th. Sacred Heart will return home the following week to host Howard on October 11th.
On October 18th, the Pioneers will face a major challenge with an away game at Montana, a matchup expected to truly test the team's resilience.
After a bye week, Sacred Heart will head to Mercyhurst on November 1st for another important road contest.
November brings two exciting home games for the Pioneers: Virginia Lynchburg on November 8th, followed by a crucial showdown against Merrimack on November 15th. The Pioneers will look to defend their title and assert their dominance once again against he Warriors in the battle for the Yankee Conference Cup.
The regular season will conclude with a tough road game at Villanova on November 22nd.
