Three Pioneers secured double-digit kills
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University men's volleyball team dropped Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) match to Princeton, 3-1. Dylan McClung, Aleksa Mandic and Jaron Popp all secured double-digit kills.

How it Happened:
The Pioneers got an early 7-1 lead on the Tigers. Princeton responded with a 9-5 run to come within one of the Pios. Nyherow Omene secured a kill for the Tigers to tie things up at 17 but the Pios responded with their own 9-5 run to seal the 25-22 win. SHU tallied 13 kills to the Tigers' seven.
After battling through a few early ties, Princeton pulled away with a 5-2 run for a three-point lead with two kills from Mason Rice. The teams traded a handful of errors at the service line, but the Pios tied things up at 19 with a pair of blocks and a kill from Jaron Popp. After late back-and-forth plays, Princeton took set two 25-22.
Princeton got an early 11-5 lead against the Pios in the third securing four kills and two blocks. SHU came within one but ultimately fell 25-19.
The Pioneers came back from an early deficit in the fourth with back-to-back kills from Alec Niemczyk and Aleksa Mandic. The remainder of the set was closely contested but ultimately fell 25-23.

The Pios return to the Pitt Center tomorrow at 4 p.m. to face the Tigers one last time.
