LAST TIME OUT
The Pioneers are returning to the Nutmeg State after a trip down South, which featured four games in N.C. and two games in Va. SHU won the opener 4-1 against Elon behind a stellar pitching performance from
Sam Kowalski. The junior hurler allowed one run in her first complete-game win of the season. Unfortunately for the Pios, the opening victory marked their only one of the trip.
Morgan Teodosio led the way for SHU with a .417 batting average, while
Savannah Moore and
Nicole Henke both hit home runs in the Pios' win over the Phoenix.
GIMME MOORE
Moore has been an early-season breakout for the Pioneers in 2025, leading the team in slugging percentage (.519), doubles (2) and hits (9). The sophomore utility player's three-run home propelled the Pioneers to a 4-1 victory over Elon on Mar. 2. Moore's homer was the first of her young career.
