Fairfield, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University women's ice hockey team battled hard against Minnesota but ultimately fell short.

How it Happened:

Lauren Larson earned her first start of the season and third appearance overall, setting the tone early with a strong opening period as she turned aside 18 shots and limited Minnesota to just two goals.
Larson continued to battle in the second period, turning aside 13 shots despite five goals against, as Sacred Heart broke through late on a power play with Ella Holm scoring at 18:36, assisted by Koman and LaRoche.
Larson made three saves in the third period before allowing two goals, prompting Sacred Heart to turn to Wendell in net, who finished with 15 saves. Ella Holm capped her night with her second power-play goal at 12:51, assisted by Pascucci.
