The Pioneers continued to apply pressure after the break, earning four corner kicks in a span of less than 13 minutes as they searched for the go-ahead goal. Sacred Heart's persistence eventually paid off in the 76th minute when Kowlski came off the bench and buried her first goal of her career, putting the Pioneers back in front, 2-1.
As the game continued, Siena began generating dangerous opportunities on the offensive end. In the 85th minute, the Saints found the equalizer to tie the game at two before striking again just minutes later, taking a 3-2 lead in the 88th minute.
The Pioneers continued to battle in the final minutes, searching for one last opportunity to even the score, but were unable to find the back of the net before the final whistle.
