FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University women's wrestling team went toe-to-toe with Lehigh University on Sunday afternoon inside the William H. Pitt Center, dropping a tightly contested dual by a 22-19 margin.

Of Note:
The Pioneers picked up four individual victories on the day, highlighted by dominant performances at 103 and 160 pounds, along with two forfeits that kept the dual within reach until the final bouts.

Sacred Heart struck first at 103 pounds as Aaliyah Payne-Parris opened the match with a composed 4-0 decision over Hattie Mack. The Pios extended their lead at 110 when Tiffany Stoshak earned a victory by forfeit.
Lehigh responded with wins at 117, 124, 131, 138, and 145 pounds, building momentum behind a string of technical falls. At 160 pounds, Love Daley swung the momentum back in Sacred Heart's favor with an emphatic 10-0 technical fall over Cameron Millsapp.

The dual tightened again at 180 pounds, where Genevieve An edged Sacred Heart's Madeline Hodges by a narrow 4-2 decision. 

In the final bout at 207 pounds, Josephine Larson secured a win by forfeit, bringing the Pioneers within three points, but the Mountain Hawks held on for the 22-19 victory.
