SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Sacred Heart University men's golf team returned from the winter break with a T7th-place showing at the Savannah Intercollegiate this weekend at the Club at Savannah Harbor in Savannah, Ga.
The Pios finished the tournament with a team score of 899 (+35) after rounds of 288, 301 and 310. SHU opened the event in seventh after the opening 36 holes and stayed there following Sunday's action. West Georgia claimed the win at +24, just edging out Iona at +26.
Pablo Lacayo led the Pios in seventh place, his second top-10 showing of the season. The senior finished with a score of five-over 221 (70-75-76). Lacayo ranked third after the first round. He led the team with nine birdies in the 54 holes.
Mike Rothberg placed next in T15th. He also opened the event with a 70 yesterday before back-to-back rounds of 76 for a final score of 222 (+6). Rothberg carded five birdies on the weekend.
Yu Chan Ji Lim placed third for SHU in 49th at +13. His first two rounds of 74 and 72 set the sophomore up well, but an 83 today dropped him down the leaderboard.

SHU resumes the spring slate on Monday-Tuesday, March 9-10, at the SHU Spring Break Invite at the Eagle Harbor GC in Orange Park, Fla.
