Men’s Golf Open SHU Spring Break Invite Tied for Sixth

Lacayo and Rothberg lead SHU in a tie for second
ORANGE PARK, Fla. – After two rounds of play, the Sacred Heart University men's golf team is tied for sixth at the SHU Spring Break Invite, which is being played at the Eagle Harbor Golf Club in Orange Park, Fla.
The Pioneers started off strong, sitting in second after a strong first round score of 295 (+7). Unfortunately for SHU, a rough second round shuffled the Pios down the leaderboard. The Pioneers own a 36-hole score of 595 (+19) heading into tomorrow's third round. Sacred Heart is tied with Monmouth, while Manhattan leads the way with a score of 581 (+5).
The duo of Pablo Lacayo and Mike Rothberg lead the way for SHU as both are tied for second place. The pair own a combined score of 143 (-1). Lacayo opened with a 74 before closing with a 69, while Rothberg went 69 and 74.
Ronan Mooney placed next on the leaderboard in T20 with a combined score of 150 (+6). He tallied a 74 in round one and a 76 in round two.
Sho Suzuki and Jonathan Bushka rounded out SHU's five-person lineup in T46th and 55th. Robert Zyskowski III, Quincy Adams and Yu Chan Ji Lim competed as independents and are in 30th, T39th and 43rd, respectively.
The Pioneers will conclude the SHU Spring Break Invite tomorrow with the third round.
