Men’s Golf Ties for Fifth at SHU Spring Break Invite

Lacayo and Rothberg tie for third to lead Pioneers
ORANGE PARK, Fla. – The Sacred Heart University men's ice hockey concluded play at the SHU Spring Break Invite by tying for fifth place, as the event came to a close at the Eagle Harbor GC in Orange Park, Fla.
The Pioneers entered the day tied for sixth before shaving four strokes from round two to finish with a combined score of 891 (+27) (295-300-296). The event finished tightly-contested first-place Manhattan won by just four strokes (+23). Three teams tied for second at +25, while the Pios tied Merrimack in fifth.
After being tied for second following yesterday's action, Pablo Lacayo and Mike Rothberg again matched scores with combined marks of 218 (+2). Both Pioneers carded two-over 75's on Tuesday to tie for third at the event.
First year Ronan Mooney saw a surge up the leaderboard with an even-par 72 today, climbing seven spots up the leaderboard to T13th.
Sho Suzuki and Jonathan Bushka finished in T35th and 50th to round out SHU's starting lineup. Quincy Adams, Yu Chan Ji Lim and Robert Zyskowski III competed as individuals and finished in T35th, 46th and T51st, respectively.
SHU hits the links again March 27 for the first day of the Battle at Rum Pointe, hosted by Iona at Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links in Berlin, Md.
