Men's Volleyball Adds U19 Silver Medalist

FAIRFIELD, CONN. — Wojciech Olejniczak will arrive at Sacred Heart University next fall with experience well beyond the typical first-year student-athlete.
The incoming signee recently represented Poland at the FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship, helping his national team earn a silver medal on one of the sport's biggest youth stages. Competing against top international talent, Olejniczak played a key role in Poland's run through the tournament.
His performance on the world stage highlights the level of competition he has already faced prior to beginning his collegiate career. The tournament featured elite teams from across the globe, and Poland's second-place finish shows both the team's strength and Olejniczak's ability to contribute at a high level.
Olejniczak adds more international pedigree to a Sacred Heart Pioneers roster that already has a lot of foreign talent. As he transitions to the collegiate level, Olejniczak brings with him not only a silver medal but also valuable experience competing in one of volleyball's most competitive environments.
