SHU sits in a tie for 13th place as a team
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – After 36 holes at the Rutgers Invitational, the Sacred Heart University women's golf team is in 13th place at the Rutgers University Golf Course in Piscataway, N.J.
The Pioneers own a team score of 655 (+87) to sit in 13th, nine strokes behind 12th-place Lehigh (+78). Hosting Rutgers leads the way at +30, just head of Penn (+33).
Jessie Burch paces the Pioneers in 23rd place after rounds of 78 (+7) and 77 (+6). She heads into round three with a combined score of 155 (+13). Burch led the Pios with six birdies on the day.
Nahia Paulerena, Maegan Pungsuwan and Maite Cantu all finished within five strokes of each other. Paulerena is tied for 62nd at 165 (+23), while Pungsuwan is tied for 69th at 168 (+26) and Cantu is tied for 75th at 170 (+28).
Rounding out SHU's golfers today was Garance Gueubel in T81st.
The Pioneers will conclude the Rutgers Invitational tomorrow morning.
