Fairfield, Conn. – Sacred Heart turned in a dominant performance on Senior Night, sweeping the field at the Sacred Heart Invite while reclaiming the Pio-Stag Cup from Fairfield University.

The Varsity 8 set the tone for the day, taking first with a time of 6:39.5, finishing ahead of Monmouth, Fairfield, and Stetson. The victory was especially significant as the Pioneers topped both Fairfield and Stetson, last season's first and second place finishers at the MAAC Championships.
The 2nd Varsity 8 followed with another first-place finish in 6:48.0, continuing the momentum and securing a clean sweep in the five events.
Sacred Heart's depth carried into the smaller boats, with the Varsity Four also capturing first place in 7:31.5, outpacing Monmouth, Stetson, and Fairfield.
In the 2V4 race, Sacred Heart placed third with a time of 7:52.6, while the lightweight entry took first overall with a time of 7:38.3.
The 3V8 added another competitive race, finishing fourth for openweights with a time of 7:36.8, and the lightweights taking first with a time of 7:02.5.
The highlight of the day came as Sacred Heart reclaimed the Pio-Stag Cup in the second annual race against Fairfield, marking a key moment in the growing rivalry. With strong performances across the board and a full team effort, the Pioneers capped off Senior Night with a statement showing against MAAC competition.
