
Pioneers Earn First Road EIVA Win

PRINCETON, N.J. — The Sacred Heart University Men's Volleyball Team defeated the Princeton Tigers in five sets on Friday night at Dillon Gym.

How It Happened:
Sacred Heart came out strong, taking the opening two sets 25-22 and 25-19 behind an efficient offensive attack. The Pioneers hit .469 in the first frame and maintained control in the second, using balanced scoring and strong serving to build a 2-0 match lead.
Princeton responded by flipping the momentum in the middle sets, taking the third (25-16) and fourth (25-18) to force a decisive fifth set.
In the final set, Sacred Heart regrouped and delivered in the clutch, edging Princeton 16-14 to secure the victory.
Aleksa Mandic led the Pioneers with a match-high 18 kills while also adding five service aces. Petr Beranek contributed 15 kills, and Zach Flynn added 12 kills with two aces. Aaron Johnson was highly efficient, posting six kills on a .667 hitting percentage while anchoring the net with six total blocks.
Armaan Dosanjh paced the offense with 46 assists, guiding Sacred Heart to 54 total kills on the night. Defensively, Harryzen Soares led the back row with 11 digs.
As a team, Sacred Heart recorded 9 service aces and 12.5 total blocks in the win.
With the victory, the Pioneers improve to 9-11 overall and 2-5 in EIVA play.

Pios earn their first road EIVA win since 2022.
