Fairfield, Conn. – Senior Associate Athletics Director for Athletic Training Leo Katsetos announced the addition of Jaren Haddock to the Athletic Training Staff. Haddock comes to Sacred Heart after spending this past spring and summer working with the Hartford Athletic Men's and Women's professional soccer teams.
Haddock will serve as the primary Athletic Trainer for the field hockey and baseball teams while working with the Track & Field teams, specifically with the men's sprinters.
A 2024 graduate from Eastern Connecticut State University, Haddock went on to complete his Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Connecticut. While working towards his master's degree, Haddock worked with the athletic trainers at Berlin High Schols, the University of Connecticut, the University of Hartford and the Loomis Chaffee School. In all four stops, Haddock had the opportunity to work with individual athletes on rehabilitation plans while also assisting with administrative responsibilities.
While an undergraduate at Eastern Connecticut, Haddock spent two years shadowing the Athletic Training staff for the Warriors, learning methods, skills and procedures while observing injury prevention and rehabilitation. In addition, he also served as a undergraduate intern with the UConn Institute for Sports Medicine, gaining knowledge of preventive care methods, techniques and skills.
A native of South Windsor, Conn., Haddock was a four-year member of the men's soccer team while at ECSU. As a defender, Haddock appeared in 23 games, starting in 11 and registered one assist which came in his rookie season against Castleton.
