Women's Soccer Makes Conference History

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University women's soccer team has not only made program history but also conference history.
The Pioneers have been dominant in opening the 2026 campaign, and following another successful weekend, the Pioneers now sit at a perfect 6-0-0.
The six consecutive victories mark the longest winning streak in program history, while Sacred Heart's 6-0-0 record is now the best start to a season in conference history. The previous mark belonged to Monmouth University, which opened the 2013 season with a 5-0-0 record.
A Look Inside the Numbers
Through their first six matches, the Pioneers have outscored their opponents 13-2, showcasing their strength on both ends of the field.
Sacred Heart's defense has limited opponents to just 0.33 goals per game while allowing an average of 9.2 shots per game. On the other end, the Pioneers are averaging 14.8 shots per game.
Sacred Heart is one of seven teams across all division one to still have a perfect record in 2026.
Leading the way offensively is senior captain Shea Kelleher, who has recorded four goals and three assists through the first six matches of the season. Kelleher has been a part of 7 of the team's 13 goals thus far.
In net, senior Kyran Thievon and junior Casey Mulligan have split time while helping lead the Pioneers to their undefeated start. Thievon holds a 0.27 goals-against average with 12 saves, while Mulligan has posted a 0.43 goals-against average with four saves. Both goalkeepers own perfect 3-0-0 records on the year.
