BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The Sacred Heart University baseball team defeated NEC-foe Bryant, 3-2 in extra innings at home Friday afternoon. With the win, the Pioneers have clinched a spot in the NEC Tournament for the 10th time in 11 years.
The Pioneers moved to 19-31-1 on the year and 11-12 in NEC-play, while the Bulldogs fell to 37-18 on the season and 18-5 in conference play.

Ryan LaMay got the start and took the no-decision after giving up two runs on five hits in 6.2 innings of work
John Cerretani earned the win after giving up one hit and striking out two in 3.1 innings of shutout relief
Stephen Thibault went 1-for-4 with a two-run double, a walk and a stolen base
Elijah Brown went 2-for-3 with a double, two walks and a run scored
Justin Levito went 1-for-1 with the game-winning RBI single
The Pioneers broke the scoreless tie after Thibault drilled a two-run double to left to give SHU a 2-0 lead in the fourth
Bryant tied the contest after plating two runs in the seventh inning to knot the game at 2-2
Taking a 2-2 tie into the bottom of the 10th, Levito drilled an RBI single to left to secure the 3-2 walk-off victory for the Pioneers
