(Brooklyn, NY) - The Men's Soccer game between Sacred Heart and St. Francis (NY), originally scheduled for Sunday, October 30 at 1:00 p.m., has been postponed due to the aftermath and on-going clean up caused by Winter Storm Alfred.  The game is now scheduled for Monday, October 31 at 3:00 p.m. at Aviator Sports and Recreation Comlex in Brooklyn Heights, NY.

The rare October storm dumped historically heavy amounts of snow throughout the northeast, leaving more than 3 million people throughout Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts without power.  Several major roadways were also shut down as of Sunday morning, including the Meritt Parkway, with massive amounts of still-leafy trees falling under the weight of such heavy snow.

When the Pioneers return to the pitch, they will look to stave off the 5th place Terriers, who sit one point behind SHU in 4th place at 4-1-2 (14 pts) for the final spot in the NEC Tournament with three regular season games to go.

The Pioneers (8-4-3), undefeated in their last six games, also sit just one point behind 3rd place CCSU, three points behind 2nd place FDU, and four points behind 1st place Monmouth in the tightly-packed NEC Playoff chase.
