Sean Hoehn

Sean Hoehn '19 enters his first season as the Director of Basketball Operations in 2021-22.

"We are thrilled to have Sean back with our program," exclaimed head coach Anthony Latina. "He will be an invaluable resource to our coaching staff and our student athletes. I am very excited to see Sean thrive on our staff just as he did as a student-athlete for us."

Hoehn will assist Latina in managing the program and will be responsible for day-to-day administrative operations, including communication with both internal and external constituencies, facility scheduling, film exchanges and summer basketball camps. He will also plan and coordinate team travel and manage the program's budget.

"Coach Latina gave me an opportunity as a player and now as a coach and I am forever grateful for him and this University," stated Hoehn. "I would not want to be anywhere else to start my coaching career."

Hoehn is no stranger to the program after enjoying a successful career from 2015-19. A four-year starter for the Red & White, the 6-foot-2 guard led the team as a two-year captain and ranks fifth in SHU's Division I history with 185 made three-pointers. A member of the 1,000-point club, he concluded his career with 1,366 points, which ranks fourth in SHU's Division I history, and earned a First-Team All-Northeast Conference nod as a senior.

"Sean was a role model for his teammates and was everything you would want in a student-athlete," Latina added. "His work ethic and commitment to improving everyday was at the highest level. He was a self-motivated individual who willed himself into being a great player. He was also a terrific leader and truly valued being part of our campus community."

Upon graduation, Hoehn's coaching career began in 2019-20 when he joined the men's basketball staff at Drew University for one season. The Morristown, N.J. native assisted in running practices and putting players through individual workouts, as well as tracking defensive statistics during games.

Following his time at Drew, Hoehn took a break from coaching to pursue a professional playing career in Prizren, Kosovo where he was a starting guard for KB Bashkimi. Hoehn posted a successful season, averaging 20.2 points, 4.1 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game.

The 2019 Sacred Heart graduate earned a bachelor's degree in finance with a minor in sports management.
