Molly Chamberlain

Molly Chamberlain joined the SHU swimming and diving coaching staff in July 2016. 

Chamberlain began her coaching career as an Assistant Coach at her alma mater, Siena College.  She was the head coach of the Albany Starfish Swim Club Senior Squad for the 2016 long course season, after three season as an assistant coach.

A native of Kingston, Pa., Chamberlain earned a B.A. in Social Work at Siena in 2011.

 

  • The Pioneers have earned CSCAA Team Academic All-America honors each semester that Champerlain has been a member of the staff
  • SHU swimmers broke 16 records during the 2016-17 season, her first with the program, as the team won a record nine dual meets during the campaign
  • Chamberlain helped the squad to a third place finish at the 2016 ECAC Winter Championships
  • Lauren Somers swept NEC Swimmer and Rookie of the Week honors for the Pioneers twice during the 2016-17 campaign
  • While with the Starfish, Chamberlain coached athletes qualified at the SC Eastern Zone Championships, LC Senior Zone Championships and the NYSPHSAA Boys Championships
  • She represented Adirondack Swimming as an Eastern Zone Coach in 2015 and as the Coaches Representative on the Board of Directors from 2015-16
  • Chamberlain is the Siena school record holder in the 100, 200 and 500 yard freestyle events, as well as the 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay, 800 Free Relay, and 200 Medley Relay school record setting squads
  • She also played water polo at Siena, starting 46 of her 107 appearances, and ranks secon in program history with 143 career steals
  • Chamberlain earned both ACWPC Academic All-America honors while a Saint
