
Sacred Heart Men's Soccer Falls to Army, 2-0

WEST POINT, NY (October 1, 2002) - Junior Chris DeFiori netted two second half goals to lead Army to a 2-0 victory over Sacred Heart on Tuesday evening. The Black Knights picked up their first home victory of the year improving to 2-7-1 while the Pioneers fall to 0-7-2.
Defiori knocked in his first goal at the 48:52 mark when he beat Sacred Heart goalie Jason Roeder (Independence, MN) out in front of the goal. Defiori put the game away in the 70th minute putting away a cross from Todd Severon.
Roeder played relieved junior Anthony Lombardo (Fairfield, NJ) in the second half and recorded six saves.
Sacred Heart returns to action on Friday, October 4th as they play host to Northeast Conference foe Long Island at 3:30 pm.
