The Storyline...Sacred Heart enters this Sunday's contest with the Columbia Lions looking to get back into the win column after a 76-49 setback at Marquette before the holidays. If the Pioneers hope to come away with a win, they will have to find a way to rebound from their poorest shooting day of the season. SHU finished just 18-64 from the field against the Golden Eagles, a season-low 28.1%, which included an 0-22 stretch to open the second half of that game. Sacred Heart will look to its trio of seniors, Brooke Kelly, Brooke Rutnik and Ashley Durmer to get the offense kick started. Kelly is tops on the team averaging 13.2 points per contest while grabbing five rebounds a game. After being held scoreless against Wagner, Rutnik rebounded nicely in Milwaukee, coming just one rebound shy of her first double-double of the season, checking in with 12 points and nine rebounds. Durmer is one of the Pioneers top-threats from behind the three-point arc, knocking down 13-of-33 (.395) on the year. Freshman standout Nicolle Rubino is coming off a NEC Rookie-of-the-Week performance at Marquette, where she scored a team-high 14 points, while grabbing a season-high six boards and dishing out three assists. In their two losses this season, SHU is averaging just 48.5 points while shooting just 30.4% and committing 42 turnovers. The Lions are off to a red hot start this season, charging out to a 6-1 record and coming off a 65-53 win over Marist last time out.
