WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ (October 15) - John Carrossa scored the only goal of the contest in the 32nd minute, and Art Satterwhite made six saves to propel the Monmouth Hawks past the Sacred Heart Pioneers 1-0 in Northeast Conference action Friday afternoon.
For the Pioneers, starting goalkeeper Matt Weston was replaced just 6:03 into the contest after making one save. Jason Roeder replaced Weston making four saves in relief.
Offensively, the Pioneers were unable to convert any of their 11 corner kick's to spoil the shut out bid.
Sacred Heart returns to action on Sunday, October 17 when they take on Mount St. Mary's in Emmitsburg, MD. Game time is 2:00 PM.
