The Seahawks moved to 5-0 with the victory after winning two games in the inaugural event. The Pioneers are 0-4 after dropping a pair of games in the weekend tournament.
Junior midfielder Will Clark put the Seahawks ahead, 1-0, at 19:44 when he took a cross from Bret Patterson and launched a 15-yard blast into the left corner of the net. Leger then added UNCW's second goal just behind intermission at 44:04 when he finished off a pass from Adam Currey for his third goal of the tournament and his fourth tally of the season.
The Seahawks then completed the scoring at 87:56 when junior co-captain Keith Shevlin tapped in a pass from Columb Grant in front of the Sacred Heart goal.
Sophomore keepers Brad Knighton and Mike Shaughness combined on the shuout for the Seahawks, who outshot the Pioneers by a wide 18-3 margin. SHU goalie Matt Weston had four saves on the day.
The Seahawks travel to UNC Chapel Friday for a 7 p.m. test against the Tar Heels. The Pioneers begin a three-game homestand Tuesday with a 3:30 p.m. matchup against Holy Cross.
